I am writing a story!

For the month of July, I joined Camp NaNoWriMo to work on writing a fictional novel. NaNoWriMo is an annual event in November and is the abbreviation for National Novel Writing Month. The camp is a bit of an incentive with lots of encouragement and fellow "campers".

I'm very excited about what I'm writing. I know I'm deviating from the norm as this story has nothing to do with the brain or music, but I thought some creative writing might get the juices flowing for an eventual non-fiction novel.

The story I'm writing right now is considered historical fiction. It takes place in the 1860s in Nevada, and that's all the information I'm sharing now until the book is finished!
